Weekly Art Classes – Autumn Term 2025
Location: Weston-super-Mare Social Club, Devonshire Road
Time: Tuesdays or Wednesdays, 7–9pm
Price: £12.50 per 2-hour session (paid upfront for the term)
Next Intake: September 2025
Materials: pencils and paper are included for the Tuesday class. Starting in acrylics costs about £45 in decent materials no matter where you buy. The good news is, I can put a kit together at cost, so you don’t waste money on the wrong things. You’ll be set up not just for class, but for painting at home too. Add the materials kit if you want me to supply the starter kit for you.
About the Classes
Whether you're completely new to art or just feeling a bit rusty, these friendly, down-to-earth sessions are designed to help you build real skills and enjoy the process.
We’ll cover the important stuff—how to draw accurately, how to make your paintings work, and how to actually see like an artist. The teaching is structured but relaxed, with step-by-step guidance and plenty of encouragement.
Groups are small, so there’s always time for personal help. You’ll learn a lot—but we still have a laugh along the way.

Materials
- We’ll mainly use graphite and acrylic paint.
- Do I need to bring my own? It's up to you. You can buy the starter kit or I’ll guide you on what’s worth buying and what you can save money on. There’s also a YouTube video that walks through the basics of what you need for acrylic painting. No pressure either way, just don't buy the mini tubes of paint - they are useless.
